The short answer
Make a list of the requested documents, compare every page in PDF Studio and correct order or orientation. Create the PDF, then inspect the actual download against the list. Check the receiving portal’s format and size conditions before choosing the final file.
Open the free toolRead the submission request literally
Begin with the employer’s instructions. One combined PDF, separate resume and letter fields, and a request for only a resume are different tasks. Do not create a large package merely because the tool can combine it. If the portal has a dedicated slot for each document, give each slot what it asks for. A decorative cover does not make an omitted certificate complete.
Use a short checklist rather than relying on your memory of the folder. Write the document, its current version and any necessary continuation. For a fictional practice application, a one-page letter, two-page resume and three-page supporting document would create six pages. Those are illustrative numbers, not a prescribed application length. Check whether that set matches the real request before collecting it. A different employer can require fewer documents or a different order.
Select versions for this particular vacancy
Compare the employer name and job reference in the letter with the vacancy you are submitting to. A recent filename can still contain old wording if a draft was copied. Open the source and read it before adding it. Distinguish the original certificate from a corrected copy and decide which belongs in this package. Do not include both simply because neither can be identified from the file picker.
Keep source files in a separate working folder. Helpful names can include document type and version, but the content remains the deciding check. If Resume Studio produced a pack, its generated parts use the tool’s fixed sequence before the attachments. PDF Studio’s page board can arrange the imported pages when a different assembly is needed. A later page rearrangement is a new output, so retain the original generated file as well as the sources required for a reproducible correction.
Inspect transitions between documents
After importing with “Choose files”, wait for the previews and count the pages. A single source file can occupy several cards. Compare the count to your checklist before moving pages. Look at where the letter ends, the resume begins and the evidence follows. A duplicate front page can hide a missing back when the overall count happens to remain the same.
Read the first and last lines of continuations and look for identifying information carried onto a second page. A blank-looking sheet may still have a stamp or statement relevant to its source, so do not delete it without checking. Conversely, a truly empty scan can be removed when it is not required. Review each decision against the source document. The tool shows pages; it cannot determine which certificate detail proves the qualification named in your application.
Correct orientation without assuming a reformat
Use rotation for pages lying sideways, then inspect the reading direction. Rotation does not straighten perspective in a photographed sheet or fix writing clipped by the original camera frame. If the content is incomplete, return to a better source instead of rotating repeatedly. Keep facing pages in a logical sequence even when their source uses a different orientation.
“Page size for photos” affects added pictures, not a blanket conversion of every imported PDF page to A4 or US Letter. Review mixed material accordingly. A photograph of a certificate may need a sensible page shape, while a text PDF keeps its own page geometry. Consistency should support reading rather than force all documents to the same appearance. Check the smallest writing after any fitting or size reduction; a visually neat page can still make an important qualification line too small.
Protect useful text and special source features
Check names, dates and characters in the finished resume and letter. If the source tool warned that a font lacked a character, resolve that in the source rather than expecting merging to restore it. Try selecting an important line when preserved text is required. A scanned certificate remains an image unless it already has an additional text layer; this assembly workflow does not add OCR.
The output does not retain every special source feature. Original bookmarks, comments and embedded attachments are not carried over, and original form controls do not remain editable in the same way. If the recipient requires an original signed or otherwise special file, follow that instruction rather than assuming a merged copy is interchangeable. This guide does not decide document validity. Preserve the source and clarify the required submission if those properties matter to the application.
Treat the upload limit as a separate checkpoint
Read the exact size rule instead of applying a remembered limit from another portal. For an illustrative 5 MB ceiling, choose a suitable output setting and inspect its reported weight. A file below the ceiling can still contain unreadable scans or the wrong version. If more reduction is needed, compare the difficult pages rather than judging only the sharp text at the beginning.
The optional conversion of text pages to images affects selection and search. Consider that consequence before using it for a smaller file. Do not remove a requested document to make the package fit silently. Ask about an accepted alternative when mandatory content cannot remain readable under the limit. The correct solution satisfies the actual submission, not merely the smallest preset. Keep the workable candidate separately while exploring another setting so a later experiment does not become the accidental final file.
Open the saved file before selecting it
Create the PDF and open the download outside the page board. Work from the checklist again: current employer, correct resume, complete supporting pages and readable orientation. Inspect the last page as carefully as the first. This is a review of your saved package, not evidence of a test on every recruitment system. If the portal extracts information, inspect its extracted fields in that process rather than assuming every parser reads identically.
Give the approved file a clear name and select that exact version for upload. Near-identical source and compressed copies can be easy to confuse. If a final portal review is provided, use it to check what was attached. PDF Studio processes files locally and keeps no persistent document arrangement after closing, so retain the saved package and source checklist. A later request for an individual certificate should lead back to the source, not to a screenshot of the already reduced combined document.
Questions you might still have
Does a correct total page count prove completeness?
No. A duplicate page can replace a missing continuation while leaving the same count.
Should I include every available certificate?
Follow the request and select relevant required material rather than importing the whole folder automatically.
Does rotation fix perspective or missing edges?
No. It changes reading orientation; obtain a complete clearer source when needed.
Does choosing A4 resize every PDF source page?
The photo setting controls added images, not universal reformatting of imported PDFs.
Does merging add text recognition?
No. Photographed writing does not acquire OCR through this workflow.
Which version should I upload?
The actual saved file you checked against the request, with its identity clear among sources and experiments.
Before you go
Check the document at its boundaries and in the saved download, then upload the identified approved version.
