PDF, JPG, PNG or WebP · up to 300 MB in total

Add PDFs or photos to begin.

Your files stay on this device. The PDF Studio reads and writes PDFs in your browser. Nothing is uploaded, and nothing is kept after you close the page.

Password-protected PDFs need their password removed first. PDFs that only block copying are added as images.

How to merge PDF files

  1. Add your files

Drop PDFs and photos on the box or choose them. On a phone you can take a photo of a paper document right away.

  2. Sort the pages

Every page gets a preview. Drag it by the handle or use the arrows, turn it a quarter, or remove what you don’t need.

  3. Pick a size and download

Keep the original quality or choose a limit such as 2 MB, then create the PDF and download it.

How to get a PDF under 2 MB

Many job portals and online forms accept 2 MB or 5 MB per file. Choose the limit and the PDF Studio tries smaller steps until the file fits: first it lowers the resolution of photos and scanned pages, which usually make up most of the size. Pages with real text are copied as they are, so they stay sharp and searchable.

If that is not enough, allow text pages to become images as well. The file gets much smaller, but that text can no longer be selected. The result always shows the final size and warns you when small print may get hard to read.

Your application in one PDF

Create your resume and cover letter in the free Resume Studio, download them, then add them here together with certificates and references – scanned or photographed. Put them in the order the employer expects, choose “Under 2 MB” or “Under 5 MB” and send one tidy file.

Need to crop or brighten a photo of a certificate first? The Image Studio does that in your browser, too.

Good to know

  • Copied pages keep their text, links and vector graphics. Forms, comments and bookmarks of the original files are not carried over.
  • Photos are placed on US Letter or A4 pages, turned to match, or on a page the shape of the photo.
  • Up to 500 pages and 300 MB per PDF. Large scans need memory, so on older phones fewer pages at a time work best.
  • The size limits use decimal megabytes (1 MB = 1,000,000 bytes), so the file also passes stricter checks.

More free PDF tools

  • Compress PDF – Make a PDF smaller than 10, 5, 2 or 1 MB.
  • JPG to PDF – Turn photos and scans into one PDF.
  • Split PDF – Save pages as separate PDFs, or keep only some.

Frequently asked questions

Is the PDF Studio free?

Yes. Merging, sorting and compressing are free, with no account, no daily limit and no watermark.

Are my files uploaded?

No. The PDFs and photos are processed in your browser on this device. They are not sent to LoschaZ or anyone else and are gone when you close the page.

Can I make a PDF smaller than 2 MB?

Usually, yes. Choose “Under 2 MB”: photos and scanned pages are reduced step by step until the file fits. If text pages alone are too large, you can allow them to become images, too.

Will the text stay selectable?

Yes, unless you allow text pages to become images. Pages with real text are copied as they are; only photos, scans and copy-protected pages are turned into images.

Can I merge photos and PDFs together?

Yes. JPG, PNG and WebP photos become PDF pages in US Letter, A4 or their own shape, and you can mix them freely with pages from your PDFs.

Does it work on my phone?

Yes. It works in current browsers on phones, tablets and computers, and on phones you can add a photo straight from the camera.
