Does the form ask for exact pixels?

Add images or try the sample photo.

Your images stay on this device. They are compressed in your browser and never uploaded. Camera details and location data are not copied into the new files.

Limits use 1 KB = 1,000 bytes, so a file under “100 KB” also passes forms that count 1 KB as 1,024 bytes.

How to compress an image to a KB size

  1. Add your images

Choose one or several JPG, PNG, WebP or GIF files, or take a photo on your phone.

  2. Pick the limit

Choose 20, 50, 100, 200 or 500 KB or 1 MB, or type the limit from the form. Need exact pixels too? Enter width and height.

  3. Download

Every image shows its new size, pixel size and quality. Download them one by one or all together as a ZIP file.

How the size limit is met

For every image the Image Compressor looks for the highest JPEG or WebP quality that fits under the limit. If even a modest quality is too large, it reduces the pixel size step by step and tries again, so you get the sharpest image the limit allows – not just the smallest file.

PNG images with transparency are placed on white for JPG; WebP keeps transparency and is usually 25–35 % smaller than JPG at the same quality.

Exact pixel sizes for forms

Some forms want both a file size and an exact size such as 600 × 800 pixels. Enter both values and choose how to handle a different shape: “Crop to fill” cuts the edges evenly, “Fit inside on white” keeps the whole picture and adds white bars. Enter only a width or only a height to keep the proportions.

Frequently asked questions

Is the Image Compressor free?

Yes. There is no account, no limit on the number of images and no watermark.

Are my images uploaded?

No. They are compressed in your browser on this device and are not sent to LoschaZ or anyone else.

Can I compress several images at once?

Yes. Add up to 100 images at a time and download them all together as a ZIP file.

Why is my image smaller in pixels now?

When the limit is very small, quality alone is not enough, so the pixel size is reduced as well. Choose a higher limit to keep more pixels.

Does it remove location data?

Yes. The new files are written from the pixels only, so camera details and GPS location are not copied.
