Opening your planner…
Add a recipe
Copy a recipe from a website, an e-book or a message and paste it here, or paste the address of a recipe page. You check every ingredient before it is saved.
Recipe in a printed cookbook?
A link is fetched by our server, which reads only the recipe data on that page and keeps nothing.
Your recipes
Your recipe book. Open a recipe to scale it, put it on a day or edit it.
Opening your planner…
Shopping list
Built from this week’s meals and sorted by aisle. Pantry items and things you have are kept apart.
Opening your planner…
Pantry
Things you always have at home. They never land on the shopping list unless you put them back for one list.
Opening your planner…
Your recipes stay on your device. Recipes, plans, lists and your pantry are saved in this browser only, with no account. A pasted link is fetched by our server, which sends back only the recipe data and keeps nothing.
Save a backup now and then. Clearing your browser data deletes the planner. Settings › Save backup file keeps a copy you can also restore on another device.
How do I organize my recipes in one place?
Collect them
Add a recipe with “Paste a recipe or a link”, write it yourself, or scan a cookbook photo. The twelve starter recipes are there if you want examples.
Tag them
Give recipes tags such as Quick, Vegetarian or Soup, or your own words such as “Grandma” or “Sunday”.
Find and use them
Search by name, tag or ingredient, open a recipe, scale it and put it on a day or straight on the shopping list.
Recipe scaler: change the servings, the amounts follow
Every recipe has a servings scaler. Turn a recipe for four into one for six and every amount is recalculated: 1½ cups become 2¼ cups, 400 g becomes 600 g. Kitchen units stay as they are, and spoons and cups are shown as fractions you can measure.
The saved recipe does not change when you scale it. Planned meals keep their own servings, and the shopping list scales them in the same way.
Tags and search: find a recipe in seconds
The search looks at recipe names, tags and ingredients at the same time, so “lentil” finds the soup and the curry that uses lentils. Tag chips filter the book with one tap.
Tags are your own words. A recipe can carry several, such as “Quick” and “Vegetarian”, and you add or remove them in Edit, either by typing or by tapping a suggestion. The starter recipes come with a few tags, from Soup and Spicy to Freezes well, which you can keep, change or delete. A tag that no recipe uses any more simply disappears from the chips.
A digital recipe organizer that stays yours
This recipe organizer online saves everything in your browser instead of an account. Nobody else sees your recipes, and they open without internet. The other side: they live on one device. Save a backup file in Settings to keep a copy or to move your recipes to another computer or your phone. Many people look for a free recipe keeper app for this; here the browser is the app, and you can add it to your home screen.
From recipe book to meal plan
Add to a day puts a recipe on any day of any week, and Add to shopping list puts its ingredients on the list without planning it. The weekly meal planner then turns the week into one merged shopping list.

How do I back up my recipes?

Can I use my recipe book on several devices?
