Your week

Opening your planner…
Add a recipe
Copy a recipe from a website, an e-book or a message and paste it here, or paste the address of a recipe page. You check every ingredient before it is saved.
Recipe in a printed cookbook?
A link is fetched by our server, which reads only the recipe data on that page and keeps nothing.
Your recipes
Your recipe book. Open a recipe to scale it, put it on a day or edit it.
Opening your planner…
Shopping list
Built from this week’s meals and sorted by aisle. Pantry items and things you have are kept apart.
Opening your planner…
Pantry
Things you always have at home. They never land on the shopping list unless you put them back for one list.
Opening your planner…
Your recipes stay on your device. Recipes, plans, lists and your pantry are saved in this browser only, with no account. A pasted link is fetched by our server, which sends back only the recipe data and keeps nothing.
Save a backup now and then. Clearing your browser data deletes the planner. Settings › Save backup file keeps a copy you can also restore on another device.
How do I turn a recipe into a grocery list?
Paste the recipe
Copy the recipe from a website, an e-book or a message and paste it into “Paste a recipe or a link”, or paste the address of the recipe page.
Read and check
Read recipe finds the title, the servings and every ingredient with its amount, unit and aisle. Correct anything in the check step and save.
Get the list
Choose Show shopping list to put the recipe straight on this week’s list, or Add to this week to plan it on a day first.
Grocery list generator from recipes: several dishes, one list
Add a second and a third recipe and the grocery list generator merges them. The same ingredient becomes one line, so three recipes with garlic give one garlic line with the total number of cloves. Weights and volumes are converted and added where that is safe; amounts that cannot be combined, such as grams and cups of the same thing, stay side by side.
Each recipe is scaled to the servings you plan, and anything in your pantry or marked “I have it” moves to “Already at home”, so the list shows only what you need to buy.
Which recipes can it read?
- Text from websites, e-books and messages in English, German, French or Spanish, with amounts such as 1 ½ cups, 1/2 tsp, 2–3 Zehen, 20 cl or 1,5 kg.
- Links to recipe pages that include recipe data for search engines. Our server fetches the page and reads only that data.
- Cookbook photos, read in your browser by the text engine of the AI Text Scanner.
What can go wrong: a page without recipe data, or one that blocks our server, cannot be read by link, and an unusual layout can split an ingredient over two lines. The planner says so, and you can fix every line before saving.
A recipes and shopping list app on your phone
The planner runs in the browser of your phone. Paste a recipe there, and in the store use in-store mode with big checkboxes. On Android with Chrome you can install it and share a recipe link straight into it from another app. On iPhone, add it to your home screen and paste links.
What happens to the recipe page?
For a link, our server fetches the page once and sends your browser the recipe data and the page title, nothing else. The server stores neither the address nor the page. The steps of a recipe are saved only as your own note on your device, and nothing is published anywhere.

Frequently asked questions
Can I paste a recipe from Instagram, TikTok or a text message?
Yes, if the post or message lists the ingredients as text. Copy the caption or the message and paste it. A video that only shows the ingredients cannot be read.
Why did my recipe link not work?
Some pages have no recipe data, and some sites block requests from servers. Copy the recipe text from the page and paste it instead; the result is the same.
Can it change the amounts for more people?
Yes. Set the servings when you plan the recipe, and the grocery list scales every ingredient to that number.
Is the grocery list generator free?
Yes, without an account or a limit. The recipes and lists are saved in your browser on this device.
